Abstract

The cement factory in Hengdong County, Hunan Province produces cement and lime. The annual limestone consumption is about 40,000 tons. It turns out that limestone flies up during blasting, endangering houses and personal safety. In order to solve this problem, the employees of this factory boldly innovated. After many experiments, they used a method of mixing soil black saltpeter and explosives and using leather explosives to ignite the fire. Not only did the limestone flying range not exceed 50 meters, it also ensured that the factory area, private houses and other buildings were safe. Personal safety, and the blasting efficiency is increased by 30 to 60%. Each blast hole can open four to five cubic meters of limestone, and the blasting cost can be greatly reduced
